PASTORAL COUNCIL

The Pastoral Council is a collection of representatives from all three churches that comprise the Catholic Community of Gonzales and Waelder.  Pastoral Council members are selected by the pastor based on their involvement within the Catholic Community and their knowledge of the working of other ministries.  On the Council there are three representatives from each of our churches along with our three deacons.  Pastoral Council members are often involved in various other ministries as they serve as a voice of the people in planning the spiritual direction of our Catholic Community and serve as an advisory council to the pastor.

SPIRITUAL DIRECTORS

Spiritual direction is widespread in the Catholic tradition: a person with wisdom and spiritual discernment, usually but not exclusively a priest or consecrated in general, provides counsel to a person who wishes to make a journey of faith and discovery of God's will in his life.
